Breville 800jexl Juicer Review

The benefits of juicing as a primary source of nutrition has been undisputed for quite some time.  Juicing is an excellent way to get the nutrition that most people lack and it tastes great to boot.  There are many juicers on the market, and after doing a ton of research and reading user reviews myself, I decided to go with the Breville 800jexl juice fountain elite juicer.

There are tons of positive reviews for this juicer all over amazon and the internet and I’d like to add my own here, with some details as well on the functionality and specifications of the juicer.  Here’s a live up to the minute price comparison on the Breville 800jexl juicer.

Breville 800jexl Juicer Features:

Breville is a company of quality and their elite fountain series that includes the 800JEXL is a thing of beauty.  Not only is the juicer asthetically pleasing but you can tell from right from unpacking it and how heavy it is that is crafted from intelligence.  What I like personally about the Breville 800jexl juicer is that it is powerful and never affects the taste or quality of the food you are juicing.  Some juicers give off that burnt or tired motor smell after heavy juicing and can give off a metallic taste, but not with this juicer.  Here’s a list of the features and specs of the Breville 800jexl.

  • 1000 watts of power, up to 13,000 RPM, which is about 30% more than other juicers.
  • 40,000+ filtering pores.
  • Extra large 3 inch wide feeding tube.
  • 1 liter juice jug capacity with froth separator.
  • Juicing disc filter – This is one of my favorite features of the 800jexl model.  A super sharp titanium cutting disc that is surrounded by a mesh filter that extracts up to 30% more juice and 40% more vitamins than most juicers, according to the manufacturer.  I believe this is the reason the juice taste so fresh and smooth, the titanium contributes no altered taste to the juice.
  • 2 speeds, high speed is 13,000 RPM and low speed is 6,500 RPM
  • Easy to clean.
  • Powerful enough to process whole fruit with no problem.
  • Commercial grade, designed for home use.
  • See the full list of features here.

What I love about the Breville 800jexl Juice Fountain

Breville 800jexl juicer reviewThis juicer eats up fruit and vegetables without slowing down, what I really like about it is that it extracts the juice quickly so that the motor never gets backed up and has to work overtime.  Also compared to other juicers on the market I’d have to say that the Breville 800jexl is quieter than most.  Now it’s certainly not the quietest as it has one of the most powerful motors, but surprisingly it isn’t louder than most juicers either.  I cannot stand pulp in my juice, it just feels like I’m drinking ants or something, one of my favorite things about this juicer is that it makes virtually pulp free juice every time no matter what fruits and veggies are used.  A real time saver not having to strain the juice manually afterwards.  Also cleanup isn’t bad at all, one of my main deterrents in getting a juicer was the cleanup process, but all you need to do is rinse off the top parts of the juicer and let them air dry.  The absolute best part about this juicer is the juice it makes.  The juice tastes pure and clean and that’s all you can ask for.

Breville 800jexl Juicer Cons

I share some of the negatives that I first read about this juicer when researching which one to buy.  This is not a small piece of equipment, so it does take up a bit of space on the counter and because it’s big it can be hard to store, so leaving it on the counter is usually the way to go.  Fortunately this juicer is a thing of beauty, it actually looks pretty cool on the counter.  Sometimes the mesh filter can be a bit of a pain to clean after heavy juicing, but with all juicers, there is no way around this.  Sometimes when juicing heavy water filled fruits and vegetables such as watermelon or apples, juice can leak between the plastic juice cover and the stainless steel bowl.  I noticed if you just slow down a bit when juicing these types of fruits its prevents leakage.  If you own the Breville 800jexl elite juicer, feel free to add to this review and let me know what I missed below.

  1. You have convinced me that this model of juicer is the WINNER — Breville 800jexl — and I am going to check out the resources you mentioned when I’m shopping. I especially love your description of how powerful it is and how it makes juicing so much easier than with other brands/models. The clean-up sounds okay, in fact easier than many others. I look forward to a very healthful life with my future Breville juicer… Thanks!

If I didn’t love the taste of freshly squeezed orange juice and pineapple juice, I might not consider a juicer with a price point of two hundred ninety nine dollars. However, this juicer seems worth the price if you will make good use of it and continue using it on a regular basis as opposed to what some people do on their way to wasting their money – which is to use it a few times when the item is still a noverlty and then quit using it. There is no doubt that it is much healthier to drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice rather than packaged juices which contain fructose syrup and preservatives.

I agree that having a juicer would be a great item for living a healthier life style, but this one is a little pricey. When you use the juicer does it use the entire piece of fruit to make the juice, even the skin? Because the skin is where the vitamins and minerals are, if it doesn’t use them then you are better off eating the fruit or vegetable. I will research this some more to see if I can find out.

This juicer looks like a high tech, futuristic contraption of some sort. I guess it is what it is, but apparently it is much more than that. It is a mechanism that makes it faster and more convenient to consume vital nutrients and minerals from fruits and vegetables in an enjoyable form. I like it for that reason and because I happen to be fond of modern dcor and this juicer looks so abstract and sleek and will fit nicely with the style of any modern kitchen architecture. It is not only stylish, but healthy (when you use it). How many products can you say that about?

  5. Patricia says:

I have never used a juicer before, are you able to put the whole fruit in there and it will liquefy the whole thing turning it into juice or do you use it just for the juice out of the fruit? It sounds like a great item to add to my kitchen I just wonder how often it would get used. I am on a health kick right now so it could possibly be used a lot now. Does this come with recipes or do you have to look them up on-line.
