Constipation Remedies

For those who are new to this site, you may not know that I work in the Pharmacy at a reputable Southern California Hospital.  The number one medicine that almost every patient receives in the hospital is something from our line of constipation remedies.  Constipation can be caused by many different factors, a change in environment, stress, diet and certainly side effects from medication.  When patients and the public are looking for how to relieve constipation, there are a plethora of options out there.

Natural Remedies For Constipation

For the average person with occasional constipation, natural remedies for constipation are the best choice in my opinion.  There are many stimulant laxatives out there like senna tablets, these can cause for quite an unpleasant experience, especially if you are in public when they kick in as severe cramping, abdominal pain and discomfort are common.  Stool Softeners such as dulcolax and docusate sodium are another popular choice among the public and perhaps the most often prescribed of our constipation remedies at the hospital.  The problem with stool softeners over long term use is that your body will eventually become dependent on them, meaning you won’t be able to have a bowel movement without them, they can also cause the intestinal walls to weaken over time.

Natural remedies for constipation can also certainly include foods that are high in fiber and that promote regularity.  Do a simple google search for high fiber foods and you’ll find plenty, such as beans, pineapple, tomatoes, spinach, nuts and broccoli to name a few.  The problem is not everybody enjoys these foods or buys them regularly, the fact is that rarely anyone gets enough fiber in their diet.

My Advice Among Constipation Remedies

Natural constipation RemedyIf you know what is causing you to be constipated than you have a huge advantage in treating it, but either way you want something that is effective yet gentle.  I myself always get constipated for a few days when taking pain killers such as vicodin for my back issues.  I have tried everything over the years to try and combat this including taking my meds with metamucil, using stool softeners, and stimulant laxatives.  The laxatives are the most reliable but I have vowed to never use them again after severe cramping and pain during bowel movements each time.

A doctor buddy of mine at work suggested a natural stool softener product called Natural Moves by Native Remedies and I’ve been using it for months now with pleasant results.  It’s a tablet made up of natural herbs that promote healthy digestion and bowel movements.  What I love most about this product is that it’s super easy to take, it works every time, and best of all there is no cramping or diarrhea, just normal healthy bowel movements.

I simply take one tablet at night on days I have used pain killers or even If I haven’t had a bowel movement for more than a day, whatever the reason may be, Natural Moves has always come through for me and got me regular again.  For me this product works best, it’s gentle, it’s reliable, it’s safe and it’s all natural.  I highly recommend Natural Moves as the number one choice among constipation remedies.   I know Native Remedies offers a money back guarantee too, something I haven’t seen on all the other constipation remedies out there.
